Tid-bits

The latest word on The Undertaker is that he is now expected to be back in action around mid-July, but that’s a vague estimate at best. The idea is to get him back to television with enough time to build something big for the SummerSlam pay-per-view in August.

The feeling within WWE is that when Vince McMahon talked about another new TV show on Wednesday nights at the shareholders conference last week is that he was more posturing than anything. The WWE crew is already stretched to the limit as it is doing the shows that they have now. Right now it doesn’t appear that any negotiations are going on to add a new show.

TNA Wrestling re-signed James Storm to a two-year contract on Thursday. There was talk for a while that the Beer Money, Inc member was on WWE’s radar for new talent.

Jon Croitoru, better known as Johnny K-9 in the World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s and Bruiser Bedlam in Smoky Mountain Wrestling in the 1990s, has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to murder. The former WWF enhancement talent was one of eight members of a gang arrested for plotting the deaths of members of a rival gang. This isn’t his first run-in with the law as he has also been linked to a murder and a police station bombing. Johnny K-9 may be best known for wrestling Hulk Hogan in a televised match when Hogan rarely wrestled on television.

As seen on this week’s episode of TNA IMPACT, Jeff Jarrett was shown spending time with his children at his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Many viewers have pointed out that as Jarrett was driving his three daughters around, neither child was wearing a seat belt, including his eldest daughter sitting in the front seat

Bobby Lashley still has yet to sign a contract with TNA Wrestling. As a result, company officials have decided against using him on television again until he signs a contract. He wasn’t brought to the most recent set of IMPACT tapings. Lashley recently said he was trying to work out scheduling issues with TNA. He also said he would be working no more than four days a month with them and wouldn’t do any pro wrestling matches within a few weeks of fights due to the injury risk. TNA taped some stuff with Lashley at the prior iMPACT tapings which may be inserted into shows over the next few weeks if needed. Although, the fact his name was never mentioned during the last two weeks of iMPACT is a good indication they’re putting his storyline on hold until he signs, which is where the situation stands at the moment.
