WWE has reportedly re-named the Great American Bash pay-per-view. It is now simply being called The Bash. To follow-up on this, a reader sent word that Comcast employees were notified on Friday via e-mail to update their marketing material for the pay-per-view. ‘The Bash’ takes place on June 28th at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California

In order to further brand WWE PPV events, WWE are planning to create an all submission based PPV. Names being discussed for the event include WWE Submit & Quit, WWE Total Submission, WWE Submission Sunday and WWE Breaking Point

The official Twitter account of Jeremy Borash has revealed that Kurt Angle was contacted about appearing on the next season of the hit ABC Network show, Dancing with the Stars

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has been cast in the title role of director Kenneth Branagh’s highly anticipated Marvel Comics adaptation, Thor, which should finally put any rumors regarding Triple H in the role to rest. It doesn’t appear that Triple H was ever seriously considered for the role as they wanted someone young.

This puts to rest the long running rumor that HHH would be the one playing Thor once and for all.

Matt Hardy posted the following blog on his MySpace account this week, hinting that Jeff Hardy may have re-signed with WWE:
Much to my chagrin…
The deal has been reached, the contract has been signed as of May 19th, 2009.. Why? What about Matt? I’m sucking it up and giving every fiber of my being for..for them. With a legitimately excruciating broken hand.. but really.. for what? Nothing really ever changes.. I hope this makes everyone happy..

    Why rename the Great American Bash? The Bash doesn’t sound as good to be honest. But I guess given the fact that the WWE is not only big here, they would have to. But just Bash?

    I’m sorry, Kurt Angle on Dancing with the Stars? I don’t know what to say about that. I never watched the show, but imagining him dancing is very very awkward and kind of funny.
