Meet the Bloggers: Thumper, The Enforcer

Hey Folks!

Arnprior here to kick off a series of little columns aiming to simply introduce the awesome contributors who made it possible to ressurect this blog. And since we can all access their profiles through the forum, some even with photos and date of birth, we thought it’d be fun to do something different – let their personality shine through instead.

Through painstaking scientific methods that involved some pretty skillfull copy/paste, we put together a quirky little questionnaire that will allow each of our contributors to let us know what really goes on between their ears.

Each will have a chance to out-funny the others every week, but first up on the firing post is none other than my friend Thumper, co-editor of the Blog and Wrestling Fan Extraordinaire!

1-What did you wanna be when you grow up?
Being I’m 37, That’s a milestone that happened long ago, but inside, I’m still a kid at heart and always will be. Truth be told, I wanted to try my hand at two things, one being a professional wrestler, but a car accident killed those dreams after about a year in training. The other, I wanted to be a special effects artist, but that never happened either, my life took a different turn and I had to focus on other things, such as an early family to support. There was no time and money to go back to school. Sometimes life just hits you hard in ways that you didn’t see coming, but I have no regrets.

2-Did you have a favorite stuffed animal growing up – what was its name?
I never got into stuffed animals. I was into Star Wars action figures and things like that. I remember blowing up a teddy bear with firecrackers as a kid though, and we named him boom boom!

 3-One thing you like to do to unwind after a stressful day
Light one up, what can I say. Helps with the back as well. I also like to come onto QSS and enjoy the pleasantries of the site….maybe kick back with a movie or something. Sometimes I take my dog for a walk, but he get’s really hot because he is a husky and the heat gets to him. Other then that, just spend time with my family when I can.

4-You wouldn’t be caught dead where and/or how?
That’s hard to say, but I think I’d have to go with….anyplace that’s known to be a trouble area, as I try to stay away from trouble as much as I can. Could be anywhere

.5-One thing that really annoys the heck out of you
People who flame others for attention that they are seeking for themselves. We seem to have a lot of that in the Underground.

6-Your hero or one person that inspired you the most
Hard to say, as I can’t rely on my parents for that. I suppose maybe Vince McMahon because of what he has done with his company. You have to respect a business man such as himself.

7-Do you like where you live, or are you just stuck there by circumstances?
Stuck here by circumstances, I’d rather be someplace where there is a coast near by. Living in Nebraska sucks where I’m at because there’s not much here. The home town feeling is great though, as everybody seems to know everybody here and they all get along. But I’d rather be where there is more action and there’s more things to do.

8-One important thing most people don’t know about you
I don’t lie, and despise people who do. I mean really, why lie, it only hurts yourself in the long run. It hurts others as well. If you have a lying problem, then soon, Lie’s start to stack up on one another.

9- What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Creating my family. Continuing on my family’s name.

10-If you had to change your name, what would you change it too?
I really have no idea, but I hate my real name. It’s one of the most common first and last names out there, in America anyway. I share the same name with the guy who composes the music to Star Wars and Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark and other movies like that. Look it up, and then you’ll know my name. People used to joke with me on that, some have even asked if we were related, but were not. I’d probably go with something unique, but I don’t know what. I’d have to put some serious thought into that, because that’s something that you would carry with you the rest of your life. Kind of like a tattoo, you want to get a good one so you don’t regret it later on in life!

11-Do you believe in Ghosts?
Only the ones that haunt my house, all others are fake!!! Seriously though, yes, I really do believe in them, and have even thought I saw one at one time, but will never know for sure. I wook up one night and I swear to God that as I was waking up, I saw what looked like to be a person standing at the foot of my bed watching me, only this person had no features, no hands, feet, face hair or anything. Just like looking at a rough draft of a person on paper, like an outline or something. I remember staring at it and it slowly vanishing. Really freaked me out, and I was sober as hell when it happened. Since then, it never feels like I’m alone in my house, even when I know I am. Believe it or not, or refer back to question #8.

12-What would you think God will say to you when you get to the pearly gates?
“I’ve had my eye on you for quite some time know.” My luck, he would say something along theses lines, ” If you can snatch the pebble from my hand grasshopper, then you can gain entry, if not, then you go to basement!!!!”

13-Do you wake up or open your eyes first?
I don’t sleep much and am a light sleeper when I do. I swear I can hear my cat fart from the other room at night!!! I’m up at all hours because my back doesn’t ever seem to allow me to get comfortable. I sleep maybe 4 hours a day and that’s it. My batteries are low, but what can I do. If it wasn’t for pot, I’d really be in trouble because I rely on it to sleep a lot when I can. Medications don’t seem to work for me and I’m scared I’d overdose out of frustration because they don’t seem to work, so I stay away from them, besides, pot is cheaper and I’m a smoker anyway!

14-So, do you really think we evolved from apes? Seriously?
No, I think we were put here on Earth by a higher Alien race as an experiment. I think they watch us a lot, this is why you always here of U.F.O. sitings and sometimes abductions. They are studing us in every way possible!!! Did I mention I don’t get much sleep?

15-Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
I sure do, but I wear sandals a lot in the summer.

16-Have you ever fired a gun?
More times then I could count . I grew up in a hunting and trapping family and spent most of my youth hunting and eating wild game. So much so, that I can’t stand it today!!

17-What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Working as part of a clean up crew for FARMLAND. FARMLAND is a hog processing plant. Like ham, bacon and sausage? You might not if you ever tour a plant like this. My job was to help clean the kill floor. I cleaned the room where the hogs went threw after their throats had been slit after they killed them. Their guts and blood was all over the floor and went into a pit. I had to clean that every night. After it was all picked up, someone would come threw and spray a chemical over everything that sanitized everything and then we would hose everything down with high powered pressure hoses, and they hurt your wrist and hand after awhile. Underneath the plant, there was a room that had what looked like slop about 3 feet deep everywhere. What this was was actually the hogs guts that had come off the augers after they were all ground up. Sometimes we would have to go down there to fix stuff. One time, there was a maintenance guy working on an auger and someone wasn’t doing the lock out/tag out system right ( that’s where they put locks on equipment that isn’t deemed safe at the time ) and the auger turned on when he had his arm in it. It took his arm off all the way to his shoulder. I was able to finally pull him out before it got to his head, and that was only because his bone broke in half there and the auger shredded his skin off already around his arm. That was horrible, seeing another man being grounded up like that and there’s not much you can do to stop it!! So ya, I’d have to say that was the most horrible job I have ever had!

18-Crop circles: real or fake?
I think some are real, but most are fake.

19-Do you talk to yourself?
I think everyone does to an extent, don’t we. Weather it’s in your head or out loud. I know I do. I’m pretty out going all the time. So if I see something, I comment on it a lot.

20- In at least 3 or 4 lines (or more if you wish) Tell us a story from your past, something unforgettable that happened to you.

I got to meet chuck Norris when I was a kid. My grandparents put me into a school to learn how to fight and train.I got my ass kicked for cutting threw a park in Wichita Kansas by a street gang of 14 older kids, so my family put me in self defense classes and from there I started to learn how to fight professionally, which is what kick started my interest into professional wrestling. Chuck picked me out of the crowd of about 30 young kids and used me as his sparring partner. He basically had me take swings at him while he demonstrated to everyone else on how to block my moves. Then he took me down a few times and demonstrated some moves on me. It was an honor, and really cool to boot! How many people can say Chuck Norris kicked their ass!!
