Split or Sparrow: Being Interviewed by Peggs

  Hey folks and folksettes!
Arnprior here, still riding high from a great experience  that was bestowed upon me by someone very nice and sweet and funny: Being interviewed by Peggs! I should mention that Peggs doesn’t really ask “Split or Sparrow” during the interview, but rather…well, see for yourselves when the interview comes online in Glorious Super-Legomotion! 

I always liked being interviewed, especially since it gives me a chance to tell the story of my first official interview. And since I like telling stories, well…

It was back at University, 17 years ago, the height of my own piss-off phase during which I took one of 4 major parts in the yearly theatre troup’s production. Which was directed by this furious b%$@& with whom I had many a shouting session that ended this short of a Uwe Boll fiasco. She marked her territory real good on opening night by taking the mic during curtain call and congratulating everyone on the cast except me - she even had flowers brought to everyone else but me.  

The next day we’re called in earlier to be interviewed, individually, by the local news station. Things is, since I was pretty much shun out of opening-night party, I had gone home and watched TV all night, where I caught a red-eye showing of Pumpin Iron. Those who have seen the film will get it, the rest…well you’re missing something! 

So my turn comes to be interviewed, and I’m in the strangest of mood - I’m just completely goofed out of my mind, yet my face is stone-cold straight. The subject, unavoidably, comes to the director, and this is exactly where my brain decides to get revenge and thus launch into my greatest impression of Arny’s “I’m Cuming” diatribe from the film. And I mean I laid it thick and I’M JUST NOT STOPPING. The guy interviewing me is completely frozen with a scared question mark on his face, the director is just shifting brick in her panties, the cast are all trying to decide if I’m making fun of them or just completely lost it, and my best friend has to be escorted out so much he’s pissing himself with laughter in the back. None of it is enough to break my concentration on revenge, I keep going and going!  It WAS the most hilarious thing I ever did. At least in my view. But living in a French-speaking area, no one got it. Not that any one over there is open-minded enough to have seen Pumping Iron (wanna see the Governator get stoned and make a complete a** of himself? watch that thing right now!).

 So, my great moment of comedic genius fell flat.Long story short, the director AND university officials had such a lousy sense of humor that I was summoned to explain myself in front of a disciplinary commitee.  Can’t remember if I attended though - I was pretty much s**t-faced that whole week… Oh to be young…

Anyhoo,

BACK TO PEGGS

 The lovely DJ lady has been duking it out on QSS Radio for over a year now, and to be honest there’s no word to how impressed I was left at everything she does. and does it for no reason but to offer us some cool feature, something for us only, which goes way beyond playing music.
Everyday you’ll find either her or her partner in crime Hitme in the chat, taking request, chatting up listeners, making a day out of something that would otherwise be mundane and boring.  

But the REAL treat, for me, is getting an invite for a one-on-one with Peggs for quite the personal Q&A. Even better, she found a way to Animate the damn thing into a Legoland-like movie!

You’ll all be able to pretty soon watch the results of our encounter online, but until then here’s the highlights:
- Working from home is great
- Having kids is quite the rewarding experience (once you pass the poo stage)
- I like women on top. and so does Peggs.
- We’re both publicity whores.

Peggs promised me to turn the tables and let herself be interviewed for the blog, and in the meantime  is still doing those interviews anytime a QSS users wishes to subject themselves to it. Just don’t harasse her in chat - we listener need her full concentration on the console!
